Topographies of Memory
Carla Abilés, Paula Punto
A dialogue between Carla Abilés and Paula Punto approaching memory as a territory in constant transformation.

Topographies of Memory brings together two practices that engage with displacement, materiality, and embodied experience. Curated by Ayelén Ruiz, the exhibition unfolds as a dialogue between Carla Abilés and Paula Punto through textiles, archives, writing, and performance, approaching memory as a territory in constant transformation.
Carla Abilés works across textile practices and research-based processes, exploring collective memory, migration, and material knowledge rooted in the Global South. Paula Punto develops a multidisciplinary practice spanning performance, photography, and writing, where personal experience becomes a site for political and historical inquiry.
What do we carry with us when we move? How does memory take shape in the body, in materials, in language?
