May I Have Your Attention, Please? is an exhibition about what we look at, what we look away from, and what it costs either way. What happens to our attention when we play? Who asks for it, who captures it, and what changes when we decide to direct it somewhere else?

Attention is the material every game is built from, and the thing every screen is built to take. The works gathered here treat it as a subject rather than a resource: pieces that ask to be noticed, pieces that fade when you stop looking, pieces that carry on perfectly well without you.

The exhibition brings together work that steps away from the conventions of the commercial videogame and explores other ways of interacting, narrating, participating, and relating to technology — videogames, interactive objects, alternative interfaces, DIY electronics, small computational devices, playable installations, and formats that do not sit comfortably in any of those words. Political, social, and critical perspectives on technology, interaction, and the attention economy are part of the field the show works in. Screen-based and physical work are treated as equals; everything in the exhibition is meant to be played, handled, or sat with.

Open call

The programme is selected through an open call, open to anyone, anywhere, with no age, career-stage, or nationality requirement and no application fee. Collaborative work is welcome, and existing work does not need to be new or previously unshown. Submissions close on 19 September 2026; selected works and the schedule of talks and events across the ten days are announced afterwards.
