Manifiesto of Light

Four international women artists use light as both medium and metaphor, curated by Bianca Galanzino.
Manifiesto of Light is a multidisciplinary exhibition bringing together four international women artists — Kippi Maula (Finland/Germany), Lucía Alfaro Valencia (Peru/Germany), Kseniya Apresian (Russia/Germany), and Ángela Amarilla (Argentina/Germany) — curated by Bianca Galanzino .
Through sculpture, photography, performance, and installation, the artists employ light as both medium and metaphor. Light here is never neutral: it reveals, distorts, and transforms, inviting viewers to reflect on urgent social, political, and existential themes.
The works range from illuminated wall sculptures confronting the silences around women’s healthcare, to a participatory performance exploring our photosensitivity, to a photographic meditation on European unity, and an immersive installation where visitors confront their fears to meet their “most beautiful light.”
