ALOCOR #2: Maine Hermo + Sol Narvaez
Music, poetry, and collective listening from the Global South.
The second edition of ALOCOR brings together two artists who work exactly where music and the written word begin to mix: the Uruguayan singer-songwriter Maine Hermo and the Argentine poet Sol Narvaez.
Maine performs a repertoire deeply marked by Latin American trova. Sol reads from her earlier books, and — with luck — some unpublished poems. Whether they play something together is a question we would also like the answer to.
After the concert comes the collective listening. Bring a song to share: it can be well known or completely new to everyone else. The only rule is that it be by a FLINTA composer and/or performer from the Global South.
Doors open at 19:00, the concert begins at 19:30. Suggested contribution 10–20 €; nobody is turned away for lack of money.
ALOCOR is produced by ardea in collaboration with Bardo Projektraum. @alocor_sessions
